Task list frustration
There is no shortage of task management services, but I've never liked any of them.
- Notion, way too complicated
- Trello, too big
- Google Tasks, not bad
- Obsidian Tasks, meh
Okay, maybe there aren't many, but I don't like most things I don't build. I tend to build projects thinking I could do a better job only to realize it's more difficult than I thought.
Failure hasn't stopped me yet! Today, I would like to introduce to you, my fans, taskd.sh! My friend Claude and I made it. We're very excited. It's got everything we've ever wanted in a task management system, and we didn't want much. It also has a MCP server so Claude can work on tasks for me. He'll update the status when he's working on it or when he's done. If there isn't a task for what he's working on, he'll create one.
It's running on exe.dev for now. I might move it later or just leave it there. It'll probably end up on my abandoned projects list.
I keep hoping, one day, people will use something I've built. I envy our Bear Overlord, Herman, because Bear is good.
