About

Hi, I'm Levi. I'm a lifelong resident of West Virginia, born and raised in Huntington. My journey into the world of technology began at a young age, thanks to my neighbor's dad, a programmer who taught me and my friends how to code using BASIC. We'd spend hours copying code from books into the computer, building simple games and sparking a passion that would stay with me for years to come.
As I entered high school, I began exploring PHP and soon became self-taught in the language. Around the same time, I discovered Linux and FreeBSD, which further fueled my interest in technology. My fascination with the digital world only grew stronger as I attended Marshall University, where I took courses in computer forensics, MCSE, and other related fields.
After college, I landed a job at Bulldog Creative Services, a local advertising company, where I spent 10 incredible years. During my tenure, I rose through the ranks to become Vice President and had the opportunity to learn Go, a programming language that has since become an essential part of my toolkit. One of the highlights of my time at Bulldog was attending a conference on Google's AMP in NYC, which led to me being appointed to the advisory committee. This role took me to various destinations, including Palo Alto, NYC, Virginia, London, and more, broadening my perspective and networking opportunities.
On a personal note, 2021 was a pivotal year for me. I met my amazing wife through a dating app, and we got engaged in December of that year. We tied the knot in October 2022 on a stunning sternwheeler, surrounded by loved ones. Our honeymoon was a dream come true – a two-week cruise that took us from London, the Azores, Nova Scotia, Boston, NJ, and finally, Chicago, with some of the most exquisite cuisine I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying.
In 2021, I also founded my own company, which has since evolved from an LLC to a Delaware-registered corporation. This venture allows me to pursue exciting projects, including building web apps, services, and websites. I've even established my own network, complete with a publicly routed ASN, IPv4 and IPv6 subnets, and a rack in Kansas City, featuring multiple servers, switches, and a router. I'm proud to be peered with several internet exchanges over 10Gbit links.
Currently, I'm focused on developing a tool to help companies create compliance profiles, such as NIST's CSF 2.0, and potentially other frameworks in the future. This project aligns with my passion for technology and my desire to make a meaningful impact in the industry.
I'm excited to share my journey with you and look forward to connecting with like-minded individuals who share my enthusiasm for technology and innovation.
